Pectus Excavatum (sunken chest) is generally corrected by a steel bar being implanted in a patient's chest for 2-3 years, but
doctors have no way of knowing when is the right time to remove it. Our group proved conceptually and designed an ideal wireframe
for an RFID system combined with strain gauges to inform doctors when the bar was no longer under strain and thus ready to be removed.
This was done through the WISP system which was designed by Intel and is powered entirely off the incoming wireless signal. I designed
the website and came up with the basis of the idea. Feel free to browse the site.
