Web Development

All of my sites are hard coded HTML or XHTML with CSS coded in Notepad. Most of my sites include photoshopped images and most of my newer sites incorporate flash in some shape or form. This site not only portfolios my best work but also displays my best webdevelopment skills in action. My About page is entirely Flash based as well as my intro (index.htm).

Greg Ragosta.com

Basic site I designed for myself to post my resume and to maintain seperate from the computer/ web development/ photoshop side of things (this site). Based on a format which I built my dad's site from. Font I used was futura, a font which not only uses perfect circles for the letters such as O, G, a, ect. but is also the font that was used on the plaque left on the moon by the Apollo 11 mission.

Steel Bar MAE435

Website for senior Mechanical Engineering project. Made three different templates for the team to choose from before this one was chosen. This is HTML5 and CSS3 certified after our professor nearly drove me up the walls asking about breaking web standards. As always, standard 800px wide.

Photoshop

This photoshop section includes photoshop ONLY projects. Most of my websites includes some form of photoshop, as well all my Machinima projects have a photoshopped movie poster. Also in-game sprays are included under this section.

Grey Skies / Dreams Canceled

I was inspired by the final space shuttle flights which took place over this past month (July 2011). I hoped to create this vector art image with a "Banksy" art style and feel. Also this image is vector art so it can be enlarged to any scale. The figure in the bottom left, is supposed to be a kid dressed up in a space suit with a wheeled toy shuttle he's pulling with a string.

SS4 - Computer Recycling Center

I was hired to redesign the logo for a local computer recycling warehouse. My first design I used the normal recycling shape, but I realized that the green is almost a motherboard green. So I drew conduit pathways on it. I was very pleased with the results but the client had a different idea. The second two designs were the final results.

Art Projects

The Black and White phonebooth and double decker bus, I did to put an artistic look at the two most common objects the British are known for. The phonebooth had trash in the bottom and graphiti on the windows which I removed. Finally I took the color out that remained between the windows. The Bus was for a wedding so I took out the sign as well as blurred the people's faces who were on board.

Panoramic Projects

All of these images I took 2 or more pictures and cropped them together for a larger more panoramic view. I think that not unless I point out the line between the two images, or you have experience with photoshop and/or photography, could once spot the line between images. Go ahead! Try and find it.
I had many more images which were just cropped and color corrected but not much more than that which were not included on this section.

Unfinished Projects

Even though this project of Holyrude Palace in Edinburg is unfinished, it shows my approach to putting these images together. This project was about 3 images together. Most of the pavement had to be filled in as well as one of the benches, and part of the left side of the palace.

In-Game Spray Projects:

These are In-game spraypaints, which I make for most Steam-based games. My two most recent ones incorporated Green-screening a model in a model viewing software and then moving the shot to Photoshop. Also they employ transparent backgrounds so it matches any texture. I currently make sprays for free just to get name recognition, though first one is the only one thats free.

Other Projects:

The Invincible Legion of Unconquerable Vanquishing Gnomes Poster was made for my first machinima movie. It inspired the CoRE Guild poster which was designed for the CoRE Guild site and the Darnassus News: Gender Confusion Machinima. Both images had to be cropped by hand before I mastered Green-screen technology.
